January 10, 201 Sport Launch

What a nice Sunday afternoon of flying.  Especially considering it is January.  Winds were fairly light and although it was cold it was sunny and pleasent out today.  Members flying were Dave W., Ed M., Chan, Greg, and Ryan.  Chan made the trek from Cinci and that is always appreciated.  He got in several great flights with his Colibri RCRG.  Greg had a pretty cool flight of his 3 engine Ranger that Mike caught nicely with his camera.  Speaking of that, Mike posted some images here:  http://la

The Short But Interesting Flight Of Mike Borman's PML Small Endeavor, December 13, 2009

Over the Thanksgiving holiday I built a modified PML Small Endeavor kit by adding CPR recovery and a payload section. The rocket uses a PML Co-Pilot altimeter to deploy a drogue chute at apogee and the main chute at 600 feet. The rocket also has an externally mounted Booster Vision Gearcam DVR video camera for onboard video during the flight.

November 15th Sport Launch

Conditions could not have been much better for a fun day of flying rockets in November.  We had 9 rockets launched by 5 club members.  I put together a little video of the highlights:

October 2009 Meeting/Sport Launch

Just wanted to add a few comments about my sport flights.

I flew two flights, my PML Callisto on a G64W reloadable motor, and my PML Sudden Rush on a I161W motor.

The Callisto had onboard a new Booster Vision Gearcam DVR. Here is a lowres version of the video from the flight:

Somehow I deleted the sound when I edited the video.
